About Ed

With more than twenty five years experience in human resource management, Ed has coached executives from multiple industries for development, performance enhancement and career transition. He designed and implemented corporate restructuring programs and large-scale recruiting initiatives. He managed large organizational assessments and the redeployment of thousands of employees.  Ed’s clients have included such leading organizations such as EDS, Texas Instruments, Blockbuster, Dow Brands, Price Waterhouse, Perot Systems, Nokia, National Semiconductor, SGS-Thomson, Frito-Lay, PepsiCo, Sysco Foods, CompuCom, Accenture, Fujitsu, Sun Microsystems and KPMG. 

Ed has extensive experience in human resource management cost reduction, process improvement, acquisition integration and best practices benchmarking.

Ed was the founder and CEO of PeopleSolutions, a pioneering human resource management services company. He led the business through a decade of rapid growth. In 1998, the company was recognized as a Dallas 100 company by the CEO Institute and Southern Methodist University. The company was named to the prestigious Inc. 500 in 1999. In 2001, The Small Business Investor Alliance recognized PeopleSolutions as its Portfolio Company of the Year .

Ed holds a BS in Psychology, an MS in Labor and Industrial Relations and an MA and PhD in Human and Organizational Systems and a Graduate Certificate in Evidence Based Coaching from Fielding Graduate University. He is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and is a Certified Professional Coach (PCC) by the International Coach Federation. 

Ed has has additional graduate training and certifications in both cognitive and personality assessment. He has been a Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at the University of Texas at Dallas. Ed is a graduate of Leadership Dallas  and is a member of TheDallasAssembly .

Ed is widely published in business and professional journals. He is frequently quoted by print media. He has made numerous television and radio appearances to discuss human resource management topics. Ed has made numerous conference presentations to groups such as the International Coach Federation, Human Capital Institute, OD Network, Association for Talent Development, Society for Human Resources Management, Staffing Industry Executive Forum and Hunt-Scanlon.

He has served in numerous appointed and elected community service leadership roles. Ed is an avid distance runner and an advanced yoga practitioner having completed 40,000 miles, four marathons and 1000’s of hours of yoga training.
